Fawad Khan to star opposite Sonam Kapoor in his Bollywood debut

So finally the big news is here! Another biggie from Pakistan ultimately makes it to the Bollywood and this time it’s none other than the heart-throb of millions, Fawad Afzal Khan. It seems that there has been no looking back for Mr. Afzal since his block-buster drama serial Humsafar. Fawad’s popularity has gone sky-high in last couple of years and as expected by many, he finally lands in Bollywood and has signed a project whose shooting is said to be already underway.

The news is that Fawad Khan will be seen starring in the lead role opposite Sonam Kapoor in a remake of 1980’s movie by the name of Khubsoorat.

Sonam Kapoor will play the role of a feisty young girl who will be seen going against the customs of her conservative family, perhaps portraying the character of a modern day girl. This would not be the first time that she plays such a role as Sonam has been seen in fun-loving peppy roles many times in past as well.

The shooting of the movie has already begun in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and is produced by the famous actor Anil Kapoor who also happens to be Sonam’s Father.

Earlier there have been lots of local artists making it big across the border. While majority of such artists consists of musicians, there have been few actors too who did well in the meantime. Of all of them, it was Ali Zafar who proved to be a head turner across the border with his notable acting roles.

And now there is another super successful singer-turned-actor who has crossed the border and is staring in an upcoming Bollywood flick.
