Goher Mumtaz Starts Shooting For His Next Drama, ‘Cookie’ With Saba Qamar

Like all other top musicians, Goher Mumtaz of Jal fame also seems to be taking more interest in his acting career these days. He recently played the role of leading character in Hum TV’s drama serial Tanhai where he also sang the title track of the play. And now once again he is shooting for another drama serial for Hum that means that he is slowly getting more comfortable with his new job.

Earlier, the Jal sources declared Tanhai the most viewed drama serial with highest TRPs among the drama’s that were being played at that time. This has somehow encouraged Goher to further take up his acting job seriously although he has no prior experience or training in acting apart from few music videos to his credit.

Few hours ago, Goher Mumtaz who is regarded as one of the best and young musical minds in the country, updated about on his official Facebook page and told his fans about his upcoming project that is once again going to be for Hum Tv. He said,

“Shooting ‘Cookie’ with Saba Qamar. Coming soon on Hum. Written by Umera Ahmed.”

Umera Ahmed is regarded as one of the top story writer and her past collaborations with Hum TV have produced some record breaking drama serials. With Saba Qamar also on board, this project seems to have some weight to it. Hum TV is currently one of the top most channel that is being watched when it comes to drama industry so this is definitely going to give Goher Mumtaz’s screen presence as an actor, a boost.

But still the fact remains there that not every singer or musician can be a good actor too. Although there have been few success stories but then again this can’t be taken as a general rule. So it’s better if one sticks to what truly their identity is.
