Meesha Shafi to Star in Bollywood Film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

By Ahmad Uzair

Meesha Shafi has got her hands on yet another Indian movie named “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”. She was seen shooting for her part in the film in mid of August along with the rest of the cast in Mumbai.

It’s good to see that now Pakistanis are getting their fair share as far as the acting arena is concerned as now they are being cast in some good banner movies. Same is the case here as Meesha has succeeded in clinging on to another notable project. The film is directed and produced by Rakeysh Omparkash Mehra who is best know for writing and directing the super hit Rang De Basanti.

Other than Meesha Shafi, the star cast will include Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor. The storyline of the film is said to be based on the real life story of Indian athlete Milkha Singh.

The model-turned-singer-turned-actress has come a long way to reach this point of the career where she is regarded as one of the best of each of the field she is pursuing. It is really rare to come across such a personality with so many avatars and excelling in each of it. She regularly graces the modeling ramps; she is really upbeat about her musical career too and made an appearance on this season of Coke Studio for the second time. And now, Meesha is having a high ride as far as her acting career is concerned. Earlier she managed to get a role in Hollywood flick ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ and is also a part of much awaited Pakistani film WAAR. Recently she was also seen on the Vogue India reflecting the brighter side of Pakistan with her charming looks.

Even people from across the border seem to have special liking for her multi-dimensional skills. Some days ago, the top actor from Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan was quoted in an interview saying, that he would love to work with Meesha Shafi in future if any opportunity arises.

So the stage is set for her, as she will once again be sharing the screen with some A-list actors of India and this might give her a chance to bag in some more projects because at the end of the day, India holds the status of land-of-all-opportunities for our artists.

We wish our very own Jugni girl, Meesha the very best of luck for all of her future career and specially this recent development in case of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It remains to be seen if she also debuts for the playback of the movie with her captivating vocals.
