Arooj Aftab & Banda Magda – Yerakina [Rebuild Pakistan – Video]

“Yerakina” is a traditional Greek song interpreted by Magda Giannikou, who also performs with and is featured on Arooj Aftab‘s debut album.

This is in honor of peace and stability in Greece, Spain, Pakistan, Japan, and the whole global village that is feeling the brunt of these times.

Rebuild Pakistan: An initiative started by Arooj Aftab during the Pakistan Flood Crisis in 2010; featuring exclusive music, videos, and live shows to promote a vision of peace and healing for Pakistan.

In collaboration with the Human Development Foundation, Rebuild Pakistan is a diverse collaborative project that aims to bring communities together as one via art dance and music.

Arooj & friends offer a dynamic voice within a larger movement to transcend borders that imprison our bodies, minds and spirits, and to approach one another as vitally interconnected within a collective whole.
