Ali Azmat & Meesha Shafi Will Be Singing in Bilal Lashari’s ‘Waar’

Earlier we reported that Ali Azmat and Meesha Shafi will be making their acting debut in Pakistan’s most expensive film called ‘Waar‘. Directed by Bilal Lashari, ‘Waar’ (to strike) is an action/thriller and drama film.

But that’s not all. According to Ali Azmat’s official facebook page,

“He (Ali Azmat) will not only be acting in the movie but he`ll also be singing along with Meesha Shafi.”

This will be a treat for fans to see two of Pakistan’s great voices together. And indeed it will be very interesting to see them collaborate for the film’s soundtrack which also features two songs from the progressive rock band Qayaas, ‘Inquilaab‘ and ‘Pal‘.

‘Waar’, which is said to be inspired by true events, has been shot widely across Pakistan including Islamabad, Lahore and Swat.

Produced by MindWorks Media with Warner Bros. (still not confirmed) the film which has been shot on the Red One camera at 4K resolution is going to be a visual treat to the cinema goers.

The cast includes Shaan Shahid, Shamoon Abbasi, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ali Azmat, Meesha Shafi among other new actors.

‘Waar’ will be released by the end of this year.
