Atif Aslam to make his Bollywood acting debut in Kumar Taurani’s next

First it was the Prince of Pop, Ali Zafar, who made his bollywood acting debut with the film Tere Bin Laden, bagged a second-lead role in Yash Raj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and another one, apparently in David Dhawan’s Chashme Badoor, and now its well known, that the heart-throb for millions of Asians, the Pop sensation, Atif Aslam, who will be making his acting debut in Bollywood in a film being produced by Kumar Taurani of Tips. Atif Aslam has already made his acting debut in a Pakistani film Bol, which has been directed by Shoaib Mansoor, and is slated to release next year.

Kumar Taurani who confirmed the news saying, “Yes, Atif will be making his Bollywood debut with my film. However, though I am saying this it should be clear that nothing is yet finalized, we are still talking to Atif.”

Vinnil markan, the associate director of Prince, will direct the untitled film.

Atif Aslam’s management says, “The negotiations are in the process. Deal will be finalized only if Kumar Taurani agrees to what Atif Aslam has quoted to him”

Producers are not ready to reveal anything at this stage, but according to the sources, “Atif Aslam will star in the lead role in Kumar Taurani’s untitled next. Atif has been exclusively signed on with Tips as a singer for five years. But he has signed a three-film-deal with them as well.”

“Besides this, Atif has also signed on with Tips to release his music and albums, the first of which will happen next year in January after which we will formally announce the film with him in the lead. One more point that we are happy about and looking forward to is that Atif being the voice for many Bollywood stars will be singing and doing his own music for the film.”
