Here is Javed Bashir’s latest song “Piya Tu Kahe Rootha Re” from Vidya Balan‘s upcoming movie “Kahaani”. In this movie Vidya Balan plays a pregnant woman in search of her husband and the father of the child. It is scheduled to release on March 9th, 2012.

A few hours ago, some photos of the Mekaal Hasan Band jamming with Javed Bashir were released on their official facebook page. We were glad to see him jamming with the band, but were also surprised, so we immediately contacted Javed Bashir’s manager, who confirmed us the news.
As of now, we don’t know for how long do they plan to work together, is it like a patch-up, or collaboration for project, all that we know is, Javed Bashir is working with MHB again. Javed Bashir – the renowned Pakistani singer’s first solo album, ‘Subrang’ has been released in India through Times Music, and will be released in Pakistan soon. ‘Subrang’ is Javed’s first solo album, after he left Pakistan’s most critically acclaimed band, Mekaal Hasan Band, in early 2010. Javed had been the lead singer for the band since its inception.
Subrang is a soulful album, which includes various genres of music – Classical, Pop, Sufi, & Punjabi Folk.
The album features a thumri “Naina More” of his spirtual guide Ustad Bade Ghulaam Ali Khan. The album also includes two tracks featuring his younger brother Akber Bashir in the thumri originally composed and sung by Ustad Bade Ghulaam Ali Khan {Read More…}
