As an artist, Sara continues to be inspired by the likes of Faiz, Rumi, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Simon & Garfunkle, The Police, Lauryn Hill, Nayyara Noor, Strings, The Beatles, John Mayer, Nazia Hassan, Stevie Nicks, Geeta Dutt, Phoenix, Adele, Imogen heap, and Pakistan’s very own Zeb and Haniya. She is currently working on various musical projects and to this end is collaborating with composer/musician Ahsan Bari as part of Nritaal
Following Ufone Uth Records 2.0 third episode artist Affaq Mushtaq the youth music platform is now set to introduce, XXI (21). The underground band features a versatile trio of talented individuals comprising of Moheet ul Islam and Mohammad Taimoor on Guitars with Yahya Farid on vocals. Ufone Uth Records 2.0 Episode Four featuring XXI (21) will air on all leading channels and official social networks on Saturday 17th March 2012.

Affaq Mushtaq, is a young musician from Rawalpindi. Music has been a part of his life since an early age; this is due to his father, the late Master Mushtaq, and his musical career as a composer on Pakistan Television (PTV).

A resident of Rawalpindi, Affaq has previously worked as a session musician at ATV and also as a singer on PTV and currently performs at Monal, an Islamabad based restaurant along with his brother. Affaq Mushtaq will be performing ‘Angunn’ at Ufone Uth Records 2.0, an original composition of his father the late Master Mushtaq, who was a music composer for PTV.
1. How did you begin? How do you define your sound?
As a kid living in the United States, I would see everyone from Michael Jackson to Nirvana on MTV and just wish I could do that. I started playing guitar around the age of 8 and would always teach myself how to play and sing along to my favorite songs.
