Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Wins “Best Playback Singer” Award in 17th Star Screen Awards, 2011

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan certainly ruled Bollywood’s music scene in 2010 with his three big hits, “Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee” from the film Ishqiya, which topped all the Indian music charts through out the year, Sajda from the film My Name Is Khan and Tere Mast Mast Do Nain from the film Dabangg. All three of them were amongst the most popular Indian songs of 2010.

Last night at the 17th Star Screen Awards, Rahat was announced the winner of the “Best Playback Singer” award for his hit single “Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee”. Last year, he took over the music in India by winning the same award for his song “Ajj Din Chadeya” at the 16th Star Screen Awards.

The song “Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee” was a melodious beginning to the year.

Rahat has been nominated for two of his songs, Dil To Bachcha Hai from the film Ishqiya and for Sajdaa from My Name Is Khan whereas Atif has only been nominated for one song, Tu Jaane Na from the film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
