Club Caramel – Deewana (KM Single Review)

February 11, 2012

By Hasan Faridi

With a song recorded and mixed at True Brew Records at Lahore, Pakistan, Club Caramel are back with a new song named “Deewana”, released alongside a new video. The song was supposedly going to be a Valentine’s Day treat, but what do you know… some people can celebrate early.

Lahore-based pop/rock band Club Caramel was recently in the spotlight for signing a music video and brand endorsement deal with Samsung in Pakistan. It seems that not only is the group becoming more popular with brands, but also with the fans, with over 25,000 fans on Facebook. 25,000 and counting.

In the new track “Deewana”, Kiran Chaudhry is on vocals whilst Adnan Sarwar strums the guitar as well as doing the occasional “hoo hoo’s” too. Sameer Ahmed plays bass, Fahad Khan hits the drums, Jamal Rahman shakes the… well shakers, and Asif Goga pats the bongos.

Samsung Pakistan Supports Underground Music

Club Caramel signs Music Video & Brand Endorsement deal with Samsung

Lahore based pop/rock band Club Caramel has signed with Samsung Pakistan for the release of their new song and its music video to be released as a Valentine’s Day activity.

The agreement also covers brand endorsement of the Samsung Galaxy Series by the duo of Kiran Chaudhry and Adnan Sarwar and Valentine’s Day Special CD Single release.

I think it is a good initiative taken by Samsung Pakistan that they are supporting underground music and bands, as brand endorsements can help raise an artists’ profile and expose them to an entirely new audience demographic than they may have otherwise been able to reach.

Punjab Government has banned musical concerts in private and public colleges through a provincial assembly resolution. The assembly passed a resolution to ban ‘objectionable’ music concerts because of the recent tragedy that took place at a concert at Al-Hamra Cultural Complex. Instead of addressing the causes behind the tragedy and providing a better solution to the original problem, the assembly has banned the musical events.

Club Caramel – Teray Bin (KM Single Review)

By Hasan Faridi

I was surprised to know the popularity of Pakistani group Club Caramel. They’ve gone as far as being on television, being promoted by a magazine and have done an Adele cover. With the new single “Teray Bin”, released alongside a brand-new video, the Club may well become sensations.

The new single “Teray Bin” was mixed and mastered at the A & A Studio, in Lahore (Pakistan) and written, composed and produced by Adnan Sarwar.
