Ali Zafar Records Two Tracks for ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’

April 19, 2011

Like he did in “Tere Bin Laden“, we did expect Ali to be giving a few tracks for “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan“. When Yash Raj Films made an investment in Zafar’s “Jhoom” this year by releasing it in India, it was clear that Ali was going to do some music for the YRF.

Our earlier sources revealed that Ali will be giving three tracks for the film but only one was recorded back then. We have just heard that Ali has recorded the other two songs for the upcoming Bollywood flick in which he has acted too. Both the tracks were recorded today at Yash Raj Studios. The music has been done by Sohail Sen who has previously done music for the films like “What’s Your Rashee” and “Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey”.

Atif Aslam Shows Insecurity Towards Ali Zafar’s Exceeding Success

March 1, 2011

Atif Aslam is perhaps the most popular celebrity of the country. It’s been a while he’s been on the top and we haven’t seen anyone really catching up until a while ago. Even though Atif still is probably the highest paid musician and gets more shows than anyone else does but we think since recently he has started to feel a little insecure.

We have heard from sources close to the situation that recently for a show, Ali Zafar and Atif were approached to do a live collaboration on stage for the first time which had Zafar excited but Aslam flatly refused. Seems like Zafar’s reigning success in Bollywood and applaud for his new album Jhoom has made Aslam insecure.

Earlier today, Zoom TV got a scoop on what they called “Tere Bin Laden 2”, sequel to “Tere Bin Laden“, a low-budget comedy film that scored overwhelming response, directed by a first-timer, featuring prince of pop, Ali Zafar.

The rumor soon enough made rounds on all major media sources of bollywood. Director of the movie, Abhishek Sharma, when asked replied

“Yes, we have had discussions [about the sequel], but till we don’t hit upon the right idea, there’s no point going ahead with it. Pooja, Aarti and I genuinely feel there’s no point announcing a sequel, if the script isn’t in place. If we hit upon an interesting idea some day and if we feel that the second part will be better than the first, we will go ahead and make one. But not in the immediate future.”

Ali Zafar & Katrina Kaif

Ali Zafar & Katrina KaifAli Zafar made an impressive Bollywood debut in ‘Tere Bin Laden‘ and is now in Mumbai to pursue a career in movies. Ali recently managed to steal the limelight once again and left everyone surprised when he failed to recognise reigning queen of Bollywood, Katrina Kaif at a party last week. It is common knowledge that Ali and Katrina have been signed on for Yash Raj’s next film. So, when Katrina spotted her going to be co-star Ali whom she had seen and liked in Tere Bin Laden, she thought it would be nice if she went up to him and made some polite conversation. But Katrina, was instead, greeted by a blank Ali Zafar, who remained oblivious to the fact that she is his co-star.

Ali Zafar to Get a Lead Role in Yash Raj Films

August 18, 2010

Tere Bin Laden has been Ali Zafar‘s first step of the long stairway of success in the filming industry, but Ali has already taken another step by scoring a lead role in YRF’s forthcoming project by Aditya Chopra.

Under the direction of Ali Abbas Zafar, the romantic comedy will star Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif along with Ali Zafar and another lady opposite to Ali who has yet to be finalized. YRF’s spokesperson confirmed by saying

Yes…Ali Zafar has been confirmed for a leading part in the movie starring Imran and Katrina. We are also in the process of finalising a girl opposite him.

Getting a project by YRF at such an early stage of his career is definitely an achievement.
