Junaid Khan – Keh Do (Single Review)

After a long wait and multiple delays, Junaid Khan has finally released his much awaited single “Keh Do“. And this turns out to be officially his first musical project after he parted ways with Call band.

Junaid rose to fame with his rock and real edgy style of singing with Call. They had a pretty successful stint together but like all other bands in the recent times, following the trend, Junaid decided to quit the band last year to mainly focus on his acting career and releasing solo singles around the same time.

The musician-turned-actor, Junaid Khan is back in the lime light as he has announced releasing yet another solo track named “Keh Do”. Earlier on he had been engaged in some acting stuff and has also released a solo English single. But this time it will be an Urdu one and perhaps the more exciting thing about this track is that it will be featuring none other than Brian O’ Connell of the Junoon fame who will be seen playing the bass guitars in the song.

[Lahore] L’Oréal exclusively presented their Spring/Summer 2011 collection in Pakistan through an innovative style show, ‘Summer Fantasy’ – a translation of the global beauty and fashion trends of the season by Nabila and Zain Mustafa with Hair by L’Oréal Professionnel and Make Up by L’Oréal Paris. In attendance at this exciting show were musicians Ali Azmat, Ali Zafar, Akhter Chinnar, Khalid Khan, Emu & Shallum of Fuzon, Junaid Khan of Call, Kiran Chaudhry and Farhad Humayun of Overload.

Summer Fantasy 2011 was complemented by live music produced by Emu with Balochi folk artist Akhter Channar, guitarist Shallum Xavier and bassist Khalid with a live dance performance by the chaap dancers. Performing a medley of 3 tracks, Akhter Chinnar presented Balochi rap composed on centuries old shepherds poetry which narrates the story of three plants that return with the gypsies to celebrate spring.

Four Pakistanis Featured in “50 Sexiest Asian Women” – Eastern Eye

Mehreen SyedRecently, Eastern Eye mag released a list a of top 50 sexiest Asian women. Pakistan has “very” less amount of female celebrities in comparison with other countries of Asia which have huge showbiz industries like India. Asia also comprises of the two most populated countries of the world India and China. Surprisingly, out of those very limited faces from Pakistan, four still made it to the top 50 sexiest women of Asia.

Mehreen Syed, one of the top models of Pakistan topped the list among other Pakistani celebrities and was placed at 16th spot. Hadiqa Kiani, a Pakistani pop star stood 30th. Natasha Khan, a UK based Pakistani musician, with a band named “Bat for Lashes” was placed at number 32 while another Pakistani model named Gultzaeb Beg Ali was ranked 35th.
