Coke Studio Season 6 is going to hit the airwaves very soon!

Here is a close insight into the Studio as I recently had the chance to interact with Shahana Khan Khalil who happens to be the International Production Manager for this season of Coke Studio playing a major role in the international ride of this mega project. Apart from that she has also been the Assistant BTS Producer and the Editorial Supervisor, all making her a very pivotal person in the upbringing of Season 6.

LilouRed Bull BC One All Stars Pakistan Workshop officially kicked-off on the 26th of June, 2013 in Islamabad. For the first time two of the world’s best B-Boys ‘Lilou and Pelezinho’ conducted a workshop in Islamabad to explore and experience the B-Boy scene in the capital city of Pakistan. Both Lilou and Pelezinho took this opportunity to teach and share their knowledge about B-Boying with the local B-Boys present at the event.

Couple of days back, both of them were present in Lahore for their next stop-over. So I had a chance to interview them. This is the first of two interviews that I took.

Lilou is a very humble person who can mix up with his fans very easily. He is a practicing Muslim and also a black belt in Kung Fu. His inspirations have been the lives of Michael Jackson, Zidane and Muhammad Ali.

For the first time two of the world’s best B-Boys ‘Lilou and Pelezinho’ conducted a workshop in Islamabad to explore and experience the B-Boy scene in the capital city of Pakistan. Both Lilou and Pelezinho took this opportunity to teach and share their knowledge about B-Boying with the local B-Boys present at the event. The workshop took place at Kuch Khaas where young B-Boys from all across Islamabad turned up to meet their favourite B-Boy Legends ‘Lilou and Pelezinho’ in action and most importantly in-person, in their own country Pakistan.

IPAC Sindhi folk artists and Quratulain Baloch (QB) rocked the show along with Arieb Azhar and Yasir & Jawad. This fund raising concert was organised by IPAC, Juvenile Dignitaries, Sonic Peacemakers and Kuch Khaas to support the flood relief efforts of Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS). IPAC folk artists Iqbal Baloch, Amb Jogi and Mai Nimani group rocked the show along with Todd Shea, Quratulain Baloch (QB), Arieb Azhar and Yasir & Jawad.

IPAC, Juvenile Dignitaries, Sonic Peacemakers and Kuch Khaas organized this fund raising concert to support the flood relief efforts of Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS). Since the end of September, CDRS has been working to provide free medical treatment and medical supplies to the flood victims in all the affected areas of Sindh. White City is a progressive/punk/rock band, based in Kabul, Afghanistan. Exclusively formed by international expatriates, the current line-up consists of Ruth Owen (UK), formerly from the England based band Echobelly on bass and lead vocals, Travis Beard (Australia) on guitar and backing vocals and Andreas Stefansson (Sweden) on drums and backing vocals. The band recently performed a gig at Kuch Khaas, Islamabad on July 22nd and are looking forward to perform in Lahore at The Guitar School on July 29th. View the concert pictures below:
