Salman Ahmad Giving Singing and Guitar Lessons

Sufi rocker, Salman Ahmad who has been described as the “Bono of Asia” will soon be giving singing and guitar lessons. After many years of successfully playing the guitar, the 47-year old guitarist and vocalist of Junoon, will be giving his fans a music workshop this summer via Skype or live.

He will be teaching his fans how to sing eastern or western styles and how to play guitars or bass. The first class will be free of charge.

New Session:This summer he is offering variety of lessons including lessons on techniques like legatos, alternate picking, sweep picking, hybrid picking mainly. He would also be revealing his own created easiest way to learn scales and modes. The tenure of technical lessons would range from 1 to 3 months depending upon the skill level of guitar players
Beginners are also welcome to join in and start from the initial level
The lessons would also include instructional videos and notes

Fee: 5500 RS/ Month and lessons would be exclusively given at students homes.

Another Free Photography Workshop‘e’nnovators is a blooming company, a venture by students who have come together from different universities of Karachi and with backgrounds of different disciplines. They render services in wide domain, from web design, web engineering, desktop publication to graphical interfacing and 3D CAD designs. One of their expertises is photography as well.

This Photography Workshop will be a good learning experience, in which we’ll cover some outlines of basic photography, light and optics of the lenses.

So here are a few ingredients which when combined, should enhance your performance on and off stage.

You need to know what your instrument can really do, then try playing something simple, or maybe playing along with your favourite song.

Guitar Workshop at Islamabad

The cost will be Rs. 3000 per month. To sign up, you have to go to the Paper Microphone in F-6 to fill out a registration form and pay the fee there by the 4th of August.
