1. How does it feel to be part of an event shared by international artists and 32 of the region’s most prominent instrumentalists, vocalists, DJs and producers?

It always feels great to put your work out there and to share a grand experience with like minded talent.

Adil Omar with producer Just BlazeThe experience as a whole, performing my work in front of a new audience, memories to look back to as well as meeting Just Blaze.

3. What should your fans look forward to while you’re at the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp Dubai?

My fans in Dubai should come to the music room on the 28th. I’ll be performing my set with DJ East aka Kung Foo Panda and there will also be a meet and greet with the fans. Those who aren’t in Dubai will get live updates through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Who knows, I might run into people I’ll end up working on new things with.

4. How did you make it to Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp Dubai?

I’ve worked with Red Bull in Pakistan in the past for a few events as well as for the premiere of The Mushroom Cloud Effect (my debut album which released back in March). We have a good working relationship and they (Red Bull) have always supported my music.

I received a call few weeks back from Red Bull informing me that I have been selected as one of the 32 most prominent instrumentalists, vocalists, DJs & producers in the region to represent Pakistan at Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp.

5. We’ve seen you collaborating with international artists but what makes Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp Dubai different from your previous collaborations?

It’s different because this isn’t about artist collaborations – it’s more about exposure, experience, networking and building new relationships. This is a music convention and I haven’t attended one before.

6. Would you like to give any message to your fans?

Thank you for your support so far, I can’t wait for you to hear the new stuff I have coming out.

7. What’s next for Adil Omar?

A lot! – Working on the video for my next single ‘Exploding Heart’ with Shahbaz Shigri and Aisha Linnea (my first video with them since ‘Paki Rambo‘). A lot of writing and production work with Talal Qureshi and Jarar, mostly for other artists. Recording an EP with Talal. Just recorded a bunch of guest verses for other artists as well recently, all which should be coming out soon.
