Shafqat Amanat shot to fame with Fuzon but later parted ways with the band and went on to deliver even a bigger hit “Mitwa” filmed on Shahrukh Khan and then there was no looking back for the singer. Since then he has been regularly providing playbacks for the Indian movies, in fact many of them getting quite popular among the masses on the both sides of the border and worldwide too. He even managed to make an entry on to opening season of Coke Studio India, not to forget his earlier appearance on Coke Studio Pakistan as well.
But right now it’s the unique musical program The Dewarists, which has been successful enough to rope in Shafqat.
The Dewarists is an Indian television series, which gets air on Star World, that is a part music documentary and part travelogue. It features musicians from various diverse musical backgrounds, creating a harmony of their individual musical thoughts and flavours in an organic way.
Last time, there were Zeb and Haniya who were featured on the show and performed their much hailed ‘Kya Khayaal Hai‘. But this time around its musical maestro Shafqat who will be making an appearance on the show which is all set to launch on the October 28.
The inspirational journey for The Dewarist, A Dewars initiative, continues as it enter into its second season. A trailer was released which showcases the musicians on board for this season including Shafqat Amanat Ali. It also features one of the most celebrated music directors of Indian film industry, Salim-Suleman who have also been a big fan of Shafqat in the past and even gave him the title of ‘Rockstar Ustaad’.
Also, Shafqat Amanat Ali performed live at The Dewarists stage on 14th of this month. All of his fans out there, watch out for the breathtaking performances of this musical genius.
Just hours earlier, we reported about Shafqat Amanat Ali being part of The Dewarist and now the latest news is that he will also be featuring in the MTV Unplugged season two.
MTV unplugged is a platform where artist present their songs in a unique and raw style without the help of any electronic instruments. The show will feature the likes of A.R Rehman, Kailasa, Sunidhi Chauhan and other independent music bands from the underground scene of India. It is certainly a great news for the fans of Shafqat as he is once again seen rubbing shoulders with the greats of Indian Music industry which surely speaks of the enormous talents this man has got.
The show will kick start on 3rd November on MTV and it seems that Bollywood or for that matter India, is slowly trying to have a shift, getting rid of up-beat remixes and going back to the roots in form of the acoustic music through live platforms, more seemingly inspired from music scene of Pakistan.
