SILK by Fawad Khan Launched in Islamabad at L’atelier & Karachi at ONE by Ensemble

August 19, 2012

Following the unprecedented success of the introduction of SILK in Lahore earlier in August, leading Pakistani personality Fawad Khan and his wife, SILK Designer Sadaf Khan, launched their brand in Islamabad at an exclusive preview event at L’atelier and in Karachi at ONE by Ensemble.

The launch at L’atelier was attended by a diversity of Islamabads social personalities, media and fashionistas alike. In Karachi the brand went straight onto the racks for retail at ONE by Ensemble.

Encompassing mid-range casual and semi-formal ready to wear clothing, SILK has fast become acclaimed for their simple and effective design ethos based in Eastern fusion wear, in line with the popular international design trends such as colour blocking, seen across runways and high street retail. As the name suggests, the brands’ designs are based solely in the purest of silks, printed digitally as well as through industry processes such as rotary printing with an endeavor to capture elegance with its aesthetic and superior quality in stitching. The very ethos of SILK rests on Fawad and Sadaf Khan’s vision for the modern woman and to this end SILK by Fawad Khan’s debut collection engages a bright colour palette, complementary to current international colour trends, to highlight the fabric’s rich shine and softness. This collection also features diverse silhouettes ranging from the more sleek and simplified cuts to the more voluminous. Furthermore, while most designs are based simply on their colour and print appeal, the SILK team have also designed select prints with a more semi-formal flavour adorned with traditional and modern embellishments in celebration of the upcoming Eid festivities.

SILK by Fawad Khan is available for retail online at the official facebook page, in Lahore at the PFDC, and in Islamabad at L’atelier. In Karachi, SILK by Fawad Khan priced between PKR 5500 – 10,000 is available at ONE by Ensemble with pieces above 10,000 – 12,000 at Ensemble, Karachi.
