Ali Zafar to Attend Cannes Film Festival

Singer-cum-actor Ali Zafar has recently been invited to be a part of the Cannes International Film Festival, which is the world’s most prestigious and publicized film festival.

Currently, the actor is trying to work out his schedule to make it to the prestigious festival and is thrilled to be invited.

“To find this kind of an acceptance as a Bollywood actor is a huge honour for me. I’m thrilled… Yes, I’m planning to attend the film festival and am trying to work out my schedules accordingly. Nothing has been finalised yet, but I am hopeful things will work out fine,” said the actor.

The 2012 Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 16th to May 27th and if things work out, Ali will celebrate his birthday there on May 18th. “Frankly, so far I haven’t planned my birthday… Inshallah, I will bring in my birthday on the French Riviera this year.. I think more than the Cannes visit, what I’m excited about is being recognised as a Bollywood actor. We all have grown up watching Hindi films and now to be a part of the same industry with such amazing actors is a wonderful feeling,” said Ali.

Ali Zafar will soon be seen in comedy film ‘Chashme Buddoor’, which is scheduled to release on July 27th.
