Ali Zafar & Shahid Kapoor to Star in Hindi Remake of ‘Vettai’

The Prince of Pop, Ali Zafar will soon be seen in a Bollywood action film, which will co-star none other than the Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapoor.

Confirming the news, Ali Zafar’s official facebook page posted: “You heard it right, Ali Zafar and Shahid Kapoor will star together in the much talked-about Hindi remake of ‘Vettai’.”

The film revolves around two brothers, with Ali Zafar playing the role of Shahid’s older brother.

According to the film’s synopsis, the elder brother [a police officer] is someone who is sensitive to violence whereas the younger brother is a jobless rogue. The film is about how, after the death of their father, the brothers get back at two gangs and protect their families.

Ali, who is now wrapping up the remake of the 1981 comedy film ‘Chashme Buddoor’ in Goa [release confirmed for 27 July], would soon be meeting his screen brother.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, the filming of ‘Vettai’ remake will begin from mid-April onwards.
