Ali Zafar is a renowned Pakistani pop singer who gained fame in 2003 with his smashing hit “Channo” and since then there was no looking back. Zafar, now an actor as well, made his acting debut in the 2010 Indian film ‘Tere bin Laden‘  by director Abhishek Sharma – the movie which was a success both critically and commercially. After the success of this movie, and the second Bollywood film, ‘Meray Brother Ki Dulhan‘, his third film ‘London, Paris, New York‘ is to be released worldwide on the 2nd of March, 2012.

These days, the actor is busy making the rounds to promote his first major Bollywood film ‘London, Paris, New York’.

“From Mumbai to Delhi, Delhi to Lahore, Lahore to Karachi, Karachi to Mumbai, Mumbai to London, London to Paris,” said the 31-year-old singer-cum-actor.

The movie is a romantic comedy, which mirrors the 3 states of love set in an international scenario. It will be released in Pakistan by Geo Films, which has released several movies under its banner; hits like ‘Khuda Kay Liye‘, ‘Bol‘ by Shoaib  Mansoor; ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ by Mehreen Jabbar are a few of them and now by releasing a Bollywood movie, ‘London, Paris, New York’, it looks like Geo Network is catering to the demands of the Pakistani audience. Also, in an interview on an Indian channel, when Ali Zafar was asked how well the Indian/Bollywood movies are received in Pakistan, he answered, “Pakistan can be the biggest overseas market for Bollywood,” and it is true indeed that Bollywood films have a lot of potential in a country like Pakistan where the Indian celebrities are much appreciated. This movie also marks Ali Zafar’s debut as a music composer.
