Mehreen Jabbar Working as a Second Unit Director for “The Reluctant Fundamentalist”

Mehreen Jabbar, a film-maker and television director/producer who has directed over a dozen TV dramas and an award winning feature film “Ramchand Pakistani”, is now working as the second unit director for Nair‘s “The Reluctant Fundamentalist“, an adaptation of Pakistani author Mohsin Hamid’s bestseller literary piece.

Mehreen has directed several award winning dramas which have been loved by a vast audience. However, Mehreen has only worked on a single feature film, this being her second. The film is expected to be a masterpiece considering that people like Nair and Mehreen are working together for this project with the stars like Kate Hudson (Bride Wars, Nine, Something Borrowed), Liev Schreiber (Salt, X-Men: Origins, The Manchurian Candidate), Kiefer Sutherland (24), Meesha Shafi, Om Puri, Shabana Azmi along with Nelsan Ellis, Martin Donovan and Haluk Bilginer. Also let’s not forget that it is an adaptation of a bestseller literary piece.

One lesser known fact is that a UK based Pakistani musician and actor “Rizwan Ahmed” also known as Riz MC will be playing the lead role of Changez.
