Meesha Shafi at TEDxAnarkali – 22nd October 2011 (Pictures)

Meesha Shafi and her husband Mehmood Rahman performed live for the TEDxAnarkali event which was held at the Shahi Hamam, Dehli Gate, Walled City, Lahore on the 22nd of October, 2011. Meesha dedicated her outstanding performance to her grandfather:

“I am humbled by the fact that an extremely prestigious organization such as TEDx acknowledged my contribution to our cultural heritage and performing arts. This was certainly the most difficult performance I have ever had to give. As you all know, I had just lost someone very dear to me shortly before the event. I decided to honor my commitment in my grandfather’s memory. He always stayed true to his word and rarely ever declined an invitation, no matter what the circumstances. This is my way of trying to follow in his exemplary footsteps.”
