Adil Omar announces the album title “The Mushroom Cloud Effect”

Adil Omar has finally announced the title of his debut album. “The Mushroom Cloud Effect” drops sometime in 2012.

Talking about the album he said, “I don’t want to give away too many details, but I want you to know that what I have planned for this album is insane. Sound wise, I’m doing a combination of what’s been missing for the past few years, with what’s never been done before. I have a sick production lineup, and a few guests which I’ll be revealing later.”

The first single and video with a surprise guest will be out by the summer of 2011, and will be produced by Fredwreck.

As for the album name: it’s NOT nuclear. It’s more or less a metaphor for the aftermath of a catastrophe. Whether that catastrophe is the current state of the music industry, his personal troubles, or even his birth, “The Mushroom Cloud Effect” is the product of all of those things put together.

He has been putting out free music for a long time, but have been saving the best ideas and concepts for this.

Talking about the free singles he said, “I will continue to release free music up until the first single + video for this album is out. What I release before then is NOT album material. Just promotional stuff, guest appearances and whatever, like I’ve been doing for the past few years. I also have a video for “Daddy’s Eyes” coming soon, which is NOT for the album either. Again, the first song you’ll hear from the album will be the one produced by Fredwreck, accompanied by a video in the summer of 2011.”

The production roster so far is Fredwreck, Kfied, DJ Lethal, Rubee Jawbotik aka Gatorhead Red, DJ Solo and Weirdo.

As for other side projects, he is working on 26-track collaborative EPs: “Project Blackbook” with DJ Solo and “Serpents of Eden” with Greydon Square. Both these projects will be out sometime in 2011, and will be separate projects on their own, with little or nothing to do with The Mushroom Cloud Effect.
