Ali Zafar fails to recognize Katrina Kaif

Ali Zafar made an impressive Bollywood debut in ‘Tere Bin Laden‘ and is now in Mumbai to pursue a career in movies. Ali recently managed to steal the limelight once again and left everyone surprised when he failed to recognise reigning queen of Bollywood, Katrina Kaif at a party last week. It is common knowledge that Ali and Katrina have been signed on for Yash Raj’s next film. So, when Katrina spotted her going to be co-star Ali whom she had seen and liked in Tere Bin Laden, she thought it would be nice if she went up to him and made some polite conversation. But Katrina, was instead, greeted by a blank Ali Zafar, who remained oblivious to the fact that she is his co-star.

Says an eyewitness, “Ali clearly didn’t recognize Katrina. Though he was polite, he had a quizzical who-are-you look on his face and left the stunner stunned. It was an embarrassing moment for Katrina. But she handled it with aplomb. She gracefully introduced herself as her co-star in the Yash Raj film that they were doing, welcomed him to Mumbai and walked off.”

When Katrina was asked about the embarrassing incident she shrugged it off with a laugh, “It’s true. Ali looked at me quite strangely at the party last week. What’s the big deal? He’s new to Bollywood. It will take him time to know everyone. I’ve been here for four years. I still don’t know everyone.”

The following day, they both met again at the Yash Raj office and it seems Katrina had load of fun because this time it was Ali’s time to get embarrassed. Katrina says, “I met Ali at the Yash Raj office a day after the party. I went up to him and said I hope he recognizes me.”

Well, Ali has just begun his journey of fame and recognition in Bollywood and has proved his potential among the young lot with his comic caper ‘Tere Bin Laden’ but he really needs to up his Bollywood quotient to avoid any further embarrassing situations.
