Call Band visit Dubai AutismIt’s refreshing to see our local celebrities doing their fair share of work to show their support for various organizations that are trying to create a change for many people who do not have the privileges or the opportunities that any regular person would dream of having.

One such act of kindness was recently witnessed at the Dubai Autism Center (DAC), where one of our favorite rock bands was present to meet the children and converse with them. Juniad Khan and Xulfi from Call were seen visiting every classroom, and being engrossed in conversations with these beautiful and talented children.

Here’s what they had to say: “Before visiting at DAC, we were not aware of Autism. These kids are so innocent and we might feel the difference between them and a normal child but still they were so happy and content. Whether education, sports or any other activity, at DAC, these kids live a life like us, which I think, is the best cure for them: focusing more on their abilities and enhancing them to make them better human beings, rather than focusing on their disabilities. And the credit goes to the lovely DAC staff for their love and affection for the kids and Eram Shah for organizing such events to support the cause. We need more people like you guys. Keep it up”.

It’s incredible what such reassuring words and such an act can do for children, and the people trying to provide for them.

The DAC has witnessed many other major celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek Bachchan. Also, actors Arjun Rampal and Farhan Akhtar have been known to visit these children.
