Atif Aslam acclaimed as ‘Best Playback Singer’ in the Bollywood Hungama Surfers Choice Music Awards ’09
Atif Aslam has been rated as the best playback singer of India on the biggest bollywood website, bollywoodhungama.com, based on users’ votes. Interestingly the second position again belongs to Atif Aslam for another song.

We now move on to the next category, which is, ‘Best Playback Singer (Male)’ in the Bollywood Hungama Surfers Choice Music Awards 2009.
The janta-janardan has voted for Atif Aslam in full josh and he is not only the winner this year but also the first runner-up!
When Atif was contacted by Bollywood Hungama and asked about how he feels to be voted in as the favorite by the people themselves, he said, “Feels great because I think fans are the real awards and love the aam junta as ever.” On his combination with Pritam, he adds,”I think it has been very successful and working with Pritam is amazing as the music speaks for itself!”
Both the songs are from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and with almost the same number of votes too but ‘Tu Jaane Na‘ touched a lot of hearts and won!
Irshad Kamil, the lyricist for this song, also reacted the same way and said that Atif has an inherent quality in his voice that belongs to pathos – which no other singer can match.
Mohit Chauhan is the second runner up this year with his super-hit Rahman number – ‘Masakali‘.
