After three successive experimental videos like ‘Teri Parchaiyan’, ‘Gallan’ and ‘Tanha Hai Kyoun’, Ali Azmat and Zeeshan Parwez are gearing up for another collaboration together.

Off Ali’s last album, Klashinfolk, the video is for ‘Tera Mera’ – an edgy song that leaves a residue long after it ends. Grating guitars, aggressive wordplay, it’s a rocky love affair.

Ali confirmed that the video is in the works. Speaking with Instep Today, Ali said, “The next video from Klashinfolk will be ‘Tera Mera’ and Zeeshan is directing it.” Ali is choosing to stay tight-lipped about the video but did mention that it should hit airwaves any day now. As for the other videos, Ali stated, “I have given ‘Naina’ to Sudhir Mishra for a film and ‘Sawal’ to Rahul Dholakia but the videos are stuck in India right now. I have no idea when they will release.”

Meanwhile Ali Azmat’s former band mate, Salman Ahmed has found yet another way to embarrass himself in the worst manner possible.

As word spread throughout the music industry about the demise of Ali Azmat’s mother, Salman Ahmed, who currently resides in America showed a rather strange and cold gesture of consoling Ali.

Salman wrote out an email to Ali Azmat and also sent it to Instep (and a few others for some odd reason) offering his “deepest condolences”. Considering the fact that Ali Azmat and Salman Ahmed were together in a band for over a decade, a mass email was not only bizarre but ultimately disrespectful and undignified. We’re disappointed, Salman.

Coming back to Ali Azmat, watch out for his video of ‘Tera Mera’. With three collaborations between Ali and Zeeshan and Zeeshan’s unique and challenging style of storytelling, we can hardly wait.
